By simple definition, a constellation is a grouping of stars. This tapware set is based on a collection of four-point stars.

 

Designed for an adult bathroom vanity, the set exhibits a slimline, elegant and contemporary design aesthetic, while instilling a sense of risk with the hyper-pointed taps.

 

Using the same star shape, the depth of the arc transitions between the four points was increased for the spout. Once extruded, the concave channels created along the length of the spout create a unique profile complementary to the taps.

 

These prototypes were constructed using the resin casting process. A positive was fashioned from timber and acrylic to create a silicone mould, from which the resin finals were cast before a mock brushed brass finish was applied.
